High as a Comet #27: Nuevos Discos, Nuevas Dr0gas 296i2j

**ENGLISH BELOW** 🇪🇸 ¡Hola amigas y amigos! Como si fuese la promo más cara y espectacular de la Historia, la visita del cometa Tsuchinshan-ATLAS coincide con el retorno del MEJOR (quizá incluso el ÚNICO) programa dedicado a la música psicodélica en las ondas FM británicas. Con el arranque del curso académico 2024/25 nos aguarda una segunda temporada aún más ácida y psicotrópica que la anterior. Cual álbum de cromos de Panini, en este arranque iremos repasando algunos de los fichajes/lanzamientos de discos más destacados de los últimos meses, con el habitual caos colorido que caracteriza a este cometa. Sonarán cosas tan variopintas como ORB, Shadow Show, JD Mherson, Etran de L'Air or Omar Souleyman, sin dejar de lado a favoritos de esta casa como los hipervitaminados King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard o los musculosos OSEES. Además, rendimos sentido homenaje a dos artistas a los que debemos muchísimas horas de goce, cada uno en su esquina del ring estilístico. Por un lado, Dave Sweetapple, especialmente en su faceta de bajista del mejor supergrupo de stoner rock jamás creado, los WITCH. Por otro, Kaseem Ryan, más conocido como Ka, rapero neoyorquino que nos ha dejado demasiado pronto un legado inabarcable de rimas profundas que descifrar y apreciar ad infinitum. Larga vida tendrán mientras sigan sonando, y desde luego que lo harán a bordo de este cometa. With the start of the 2024/25 academic year, we are in for a second season that promises to be even more trippy and mind-bending than the last. Like a Panini sticker album, in this kickoff we’ll be reviewing some of the standout album releases of the past few months, with the usual colorful chaos that defines this comet. Expect to hear a mix as eclectic as ORB, Shadow Show, JD Mherson, Etran de L'Air, or Omar Souleyman, along with our house favourites like the hypercharged King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard or the powerful THEE OSEES. Furthermore, we pay heartfelt tribute to two artists to whom we owe countless hours of joy, each in their own stylistic corner. On one hand, Dave Sweetapple, especially in his role as bassist of the greatest stoner rock supergroup ever created, WITCH. On the other, Kaseem Ryan, better known as Ka, a New York rapper who has left us far too soon with an immeasurable legacy of deep rhymes to decipher and appreciate ad infinitum. They will live on as long as their music is played, and it certainly will aboard this comet.
