High as a Comet #25: MetaLSD d3l

**ENGLISH BELOW** 🇪🇸 ¡Hola amigas y amigos! Nueva dosis de ácido lisérgico y esta vez con alta probabilidad de causar un mal viaje. Alguien ha saboteado el ponche y lo ha convertido en un potaje de brujas con ancas de rana, colas de gato y riffs muy, muy negros. La mezcla, borboteante y corrosiva, es una colección de temas que, desde el heavy metal extremo, llevan la psicodelia tal y como es normalmente concebida a unos terrenos totalmente desconocidos. Que, por otro lado, es de lo que debería ir la movida siempre. Así, saliéndonos de la proverbial zona de comfort para caer en el fuego de los infiernos sin solución de continuidad, nos encontramos con los riffs monolíticos y alienígenas de bandas como Slimelord, desde el death, o Sol Án Varma, desde el black más disonante. Aun así y pese a toda la oscuridad de este episodio, aún encontramos partes relativamente amigables incluso dentro de un terreno tan hostil como ese black metal (atmosférico, eso sí), a cargo de los ses Alcest o el griego Spectral Lore, o desde el sludge colorido de los americanos Dream Unending. Here’s a new dose of lysergic acid, and this time with a high probability of causing a bad trip. Someone has sabotaged the punch and turned it into a witch’s brew with frog legs, cat tails, and very, very dark riffs. The bubbling and corrosive mixture is a collection of tracks that, starting from extreme heavy metal, take psychedelia as it is normally conceived to totally unknown terrains. Which, on the other hand, is what the whole scene should always be about. Thus, stepping out of the proverbial comfort zone to fall into the fires of hell without a break, we encounter the monolithic and alien riffs of bands like Slimelord, from the realm of death metal, or Sol Án Varma, from the most dissonant black metal. Even so, despite all the darkness of this episode, we still find relatively friendly parts even within such a hostile terrain as that atmospheric black metal, courtesy of the French band Alcest or the Greek band Spectral Lore, or from the colourful sludge of the American band Dream Unending.
