This past Sunday, our children did a splendid job of acting the Nativity Story followed by message by Sam and Lydia reminding us of the reason why we celebrate Christmas.

It is that time of the year again - Christmas deco everywhere, malls playing Christmas themed music, meticulous holiday plans being made etc. Sadly, the reason for the season often gets lost along the way. Listen in as Windsor reminds us of the essence of Jesus Christ and why we even celebrate Christmas in the first place.

Listen in as Monica shares a great message from Ephesians 4:7-14 about the five-fold gifts through which God continues to further the work of Jesus in the earth i.e. Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. Monica shares on the uniqueness of each and how to identify them among us as well as the need to give ourselves to love and service as a way of growing in our unique gifting. This sermon marks the conclusion of our series on ‘We, the Church’ where we revisited who we are as KIC Lubowa.

This Sunday we heard about the various small fellowships within the church that provide for discipleship and ability among us. We believe that these home groups or missional communities are the backbone of a healthy church. Linette also shared on one of the cultures of the KIC Lubowa, honor. We are called to honor God, first and foremost, as well as honor one another recognizing that God created each one of us with value and that we all have something unique we bring to the beauty and richness we have as His body.

We have kicked off a new series titled We the Church where we will revisit who we are as KIC Lubowa. This past Sunday, Monica shared some timely reminders on God’s heart for the Church as His body here on earth, and together with Gerry reminded us of our unique identity - our mission, values, different ministries within the church, and our governance structure.

Our guest speaker, Bobbie Howley shares a timely and critical message on how to find comfort in God during times when we don’t feel fine. She reminds us of the value of vulnerability, the place of prayer and the Word as well as the role of community when we are hurting

Listen in as Moira shares a timely message on God, our righteous judge. She encourages to keep our eyes on God even in the midst of loss, pain and the injustice we experience so often here on earth.

Listen in as Monica shares a powerful sermon on our identity in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things are ed away; behold all things have become new. Do you know how God sees you? Do you know who you are as a new creation in Christ? This is such a foundational teaching for every believer and I hope it blesses you.

Listen in as Michael shares a timely message on the fear of the Lord. Is it merely reverence or respect for God? Is it living in dread or terror of God? What does a healthy fear of the Lord look like? Listen in as Michael shares what scriptures say on this topic.

Listen in as Monica wraps up our series on the book of Exodus. In her talk this Sunday, she shares about God’s desire to dwell among His people, and how the different aspects of the tabernacle were pictures of what we are privileged to have as New Covenant believers through the incarnation of Jesus, His atoning sacrifice, His resurrection and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit - God living with and in us.

As we continue our series on Exodus, Alistair shares a beautiful message about God’s dealings with the Israelites’ rebellion, His judgment on their rebellion and ultimately God’s mercy towards them. Psalm 103:8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.

Gerry Noble takes us on a journey to understand covenants, their nature and purpose. Listen in as Gerry expounds on God’s covenant with Israel at Mt. Sinai and how that was merely a shadow of the new covenant that would be made in the blood of Jesus, God’s perfect and sinless lamb that takes away the sins of the world.

Listen in as Windsor shares a powerful message from Exodus 15:22 to 18 about the provision and protection of God. He reminds us of the importance of trusting God on a daily basis for every area of our lives and how to cultivate that confidence in the times of leanness.

We are going through the book of Exodus as a church and it has been encouraging to see God’s heart for His people through the lens of Israel in Egypt. This past weekend, Michael Ichter shared from Exodus 11-15 on the deliverance of Israel from Egypt and the crossing of the red sea. This epic story mirrors the heart of God for all men to be delivered from the clutches of the kingdom of darkness into His marvelous light.

Listen in as Alastair shares from Exodus chapters 5 to 10 concerning God’s judgment on Egypt. The focus on the message is not so much the plagues as it is the greatness of God and the fact that He alone is God. Pharaoh’s stubbornness is no match for God’s power, and ultimately his hard heart leads to the utter destruction of Egypt.

Listen in as Windsor teaches from Exodus 3 and 3 about the calling of Moses. He reminds us that we are all called by God and our hearts’ desire should be to know the purpose for which He’s put us here on earth and seek to do His will every single moment of our existence.
