Sangeetmala, known as SGM, is longer than 20 years a reliable medium in Suriname.While in 1988 the radio station was established it was heard by many mostly Hindus. Over the years there was because of the large listening figures need for expansion. At the end of the year 1999 was started programs on TV. SGM channel 26 became a reality and is now impossible to think in Suriname. SGM is known for productions bollywood, hollywood, documentaries, cartoons and own productions.

Radio ABC heeft sinds haar oprichting op 6 december 1975 een prominente plaats ingenomen in het radiospektrum van Suriname. De oprichter van het station, Andre Kamperveen, heeft met zijn programmering in de jaren zeventig gezorgd voor progressie van de radio in Suriname. Het is hem gelukt een sterk team bij elkaar te krijgen en met een uitgebalanceerde programmering was hij in staat de kwaliteit van de radio in Suriname drastisch op te vijzelen. Nieuws, Aktualiteiten, Humor, Sport en veel muziek waren de ingrediÃÆ?«nten die ABC al gauw tot een sterk beluisterd station maakten.
